The name Angophora Legal is inspired by the tree species, Angophora costata, more commonly known as the Sydney Red Gum, which features in the national parks and bushlands across the East Coast of New South Wales.

Alexander Scobie
Alex has extensive experience working in litigation, regularly appearing for clients in the Local, District and Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Federal Courts of Australia. Alex is proficient and knowledgeable in a wide variety of legal practice areas based on his experience working in litigation disputes involving property law, commercial law, wills and estates, insolvency and family law. Alex has worked for a variety of law firms in Sydney and has previously volunteered for Marrickville Legal Centre and Salvos Legal.
Alex also holds a wide variety of experience in advising clients and drafting legal documents in the areas of property law, family law, banking and finance, will drafting and commercial law. Alex has acted for clients in a broad spectrum of conveyancing transactions as well as acting for clients in obtaining Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration from the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
